Faith to Action Network

IRCU is a national faith-based non-governmental organization that was established and registered in 2001. An initiative that brings together different religious institutions, IRCU is affiliated to the World Council of Religions for Peace (WCRP) and the African Council of Religious Leaders (ACRL).
Its current membership includes the Roman Catholic Church in Uganda, the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, the Church of Uganda, the Uganda Orthodox Church and the Seventh Day Adventist Uganda Union. Other religious organizations notably the independent Pentecostal and Evangelical churches participate in the implementation of IRCU programs.
IRCU implements programs/projects in Gender Based Violence (GBV) prevention, it implements programmes HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Treatment, Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and psychosocial support.
The programs are implemented with and through the structures of Institutionalized Religious Bodies (IRBs) of the five member religious organizations, and a network of Community and faith organizations that are affiliated to the IRBs and other independent churches.
