Faith to Action Network plays an important role as an intermediary between international partners and donors and local grassroots members. It strives to meet the highest standards of international professionalism and accountability while boosting the capacity of its smallest members to do likewise. Doing so involves action by the Faith to Action Network Secretariat on the international level and with Faith to Action Network members on the national and sub-national levels.
Many grassroots faith-based organizations have inadequate management systems, structures and policies which can negatively affect effectiveness, donor compliance and reporting. Faith to Action Network works to assess and build the capacity of its members’ internal management systems, with monitoring and assessment throughout implementation to ensure quality work and compliance.
We address limited member experience in grants management and organizational effectiveness through needs and capacity assessment, training and knowledge-building.
Many community-based organizations have limited operational funding; the Network seeks to strengthen its members with financial planning, sustainability training and capacity-building on advocacy and fundraising.
