Faith to Action Network in partnership with Al-Azhar University and SUPKEM in August 2015 conducted a Learning Caravan at the Kenyan Coast (Mombasa, Kilifi and Lamu) Activities included training sessions and participatory engagement with community members, as a result high quality content was generated from the process especially the content used to train 65 imams on family planning and other SRHR issues, including early marriage, FGM and domestic and sexual violence. Report can be found here. The Secretariat used the content generated to produce a 25 minutes documentary from the coverage of the caravan.
The documentary was screened in various events attended by religious leaders, government official, and representatives from BMGF among others. The documentary was well received especially by the imams and the uptake for use in the communities has steadily increased where the secretariat gave out over 40 copies of the documentary for use by Imams. The documentary can be found here
